I always hated when people would just snap a picture when I wasn’t ready or caught the wrong angle. What I even hate more is when people takes pictures of me and it does not look anything like me. I decided to put together a small portfolio of my artwork and show you that you can be comfortable and love photos of yourself again! About TamedCurls
I'm Ly'Kerria Richardson also known as "TamedCurls," a self taught photographer based in Freehold, New Jersey. I always loved art, whether it was photography, film, graphic design, or just going to museums.What made you turn photography into a business? I had a friend who shoots professionally saw my pictures go viral overnight. After all the re-shares, retweets, and support because of my pictures he mentioned I should turn my hobby into a profession. After careful consideration, staying up long nights, researching lighting and editing, I decided to do such. What is your mission? My mission is to provide a safe and comfortable space for my clients. What was the first thing you photographed? The Sky at a football game! I loved the way the sunset was and I had to capture it. Funny thing is, every year for Christmas until I brought my first DSLR I asked my mother for a camera and I was photographing everything. I love natural photography, traveling, meeting new people, and accepting new challenges! What sessions are my favorite? I L.O.V.E maternity sessions/baby showers but portraits are my go to! I graduated from Brookdale Community College with an Associates in Business Administration and I will be pursing my Bachelor’s in Finance and Photography.

Do you offer indoor/outdoor sessions?
Yes, TCP Studios is located in Freehold, NJ but also I travel for outdoor sessions.
Do you pose your clients?
Posing should be the least of your worries! I assist every client with posing during the entire session!
Do you provide props?
The studio does have some props such as flowers, plants, crowns, candle holders, and more. White/tan stool and black stool are provided as well.
Any specific props requests will need to be purchased on your own or can be picked up by photographer *prices vary*
What color backdrops do you have?
Seamless paper choices: white, black, blue, yellow, nude/tan, olive green.
Fabric color choices: red, rustic orange, gold, mint green, blue, lavender, black
What are your prices?
Prices are now listed, if you're in need of a special collection please book a phone consultation under the "Booking" tab. Each session requires a minimum of a 50% non-refundable retainer in order to book the date and time.
How many photos do I receive and how do I receive them?
Each package includes a minimum of 3 retouched images. Images are delivered through PixieSet. If you are in need of prints, photos without watermarks, etc. an additional cost will be added to invoice, please click "Contact" prior to session.
*RAW FILES will not be distributed (NO EXCEPTIONS).*
What is the turn-around time for photos?
Final edits are delivered within 5 to 10 days business days for non-events. Rushed photos are available for additional cost of $75. *Recommendation: if you need images by a certain date please book accordingly or rush fee will be automatically added*
Do you photograph events?
At this time, I am not offering event photography. If you are in need of a reference please email: tamedcurlsphotography@gmail.com.
Can I bring a guest to my session?
Only 1 additional guest is allowed, any additional guests will be asked to leave.
Why am I required to arrive 15 minutes early?
Early arrival ensures you are not late, to avoid late fees of $30, to discuss additional questions or concerns, and for preparation time. Your session time starts at the time you booked, photographer can refuse adding additional time to session.
